2. “Making everyone miserable”

In October 2017, David Hine was emailing the group to say that the Dean must be got rid of because he was “making everyone miserable”.

At this time, the new Junior Censor, Professor Geraldine Johnson, expressed her concerns about who was responsible for welfare within the College and asked about safeguarding training.

Arguments about roles and responsibilities continued. During this period the Dean was quite unaware that a campaign was building against him, which was revealed in intemperate and abusive emails exchanges among the ex-Censors.
